Retreat to the Chase!

Today I took a trip out to Tutbury. The grounds were a perfect spot to paint, it was a glorious sunny day, the castle provided an idyllic backdrop and, to my utmost excitement, there were ponies!!! However, I soon realised that the castle was closed and so I couldn’t paint, but I did get to give the horses some fuss! 🙂

I later decided to drive up to the chase, find somewhere with a decent view, and paint there!
