Studying in Aberystwyth meant that I was surrounded by the Cambrian mountains. I would regularly drive to these mountains for inspiration, when working on a project titled ‘on location’. For this project, we had to go out into nature and create work from direct observation. For greater variety of subject matter, I decided to use my Ford KA as a portable studio! What was meant to be a short project became the overarching theme for the remainder of my degree and beyond.
